Colourworld 2018 - The Debrief!

2018 is the year of creativity and colour, and for this years Colourworld UK the industries most influential and inspirational colourist all came together under one roof to share and demonstrate their skills and passion for the craft! Having participated in Colourworld since the first ever show 2 years ago, the event is a favourite of ours here at AJC - so here's a run down of our weekend!

Friday 18th May

Off we go to London for this years Colourworld UK, an early morning flight for us to ensure we get there nice and early for a weekend full of creativity and colour! Upon arriving at City Airport (our favourite) we met up with our International Team and travelled to our hotel to check in. A quick change and off we went to The Sanderson Hotel, where we introduced JOICO Brand Ambassador Larisa Love to the UK colour queen Sophia Hilton! We enjoyed a Mad Hatters Afternoon Tea and some fizz - delightful! Look out for the full interview with Creative Head Magazine ... coming soon!

Saturday 19th May

An early rise for us today, with a model casting first thing and then a full day of model prep for the first day of CW tomorrow! Whilst the team are prepping back at the hotel, AJC are off to the shops to obtain supplies for our set up for the event - including our incredible living wall! After purchasing everything we could see in the local B&Q we head over to MC Motors Warehouse (CW Location) and begin our set up - we can't wait for everyone to see!

After a crazy day of prep and set up its time for the team dinner at the beautiful Aqua Nueva - a beautiful Spanish cuisine situated o a rooftop in central london, with the most incredible view ... a must go in our opinion!

Sunday 20th May 2018

CWUK18 is here - and we could not be more excited! The excitement of the weekend has us up bright and early getting the models sorted and off we go to the event! Our area looks fantastic, with the beautiful living wall, filled with JOICO goodies as well as our very own bar area! The day itself is crazy busy with Larisa and Daniela demonstrating there models and techniques used to create the incredible looks - everyone is in awe of the amazing skills used. The crowds were consistent and both Dainela and Larisa was able to converse back and forth with those taking the time to watch her work, answering questions from the crowd and sharing her knowledge with those around her.

After a busy first day entertaining the crowds and catching up with our industry peers it was time for our team dinner at London's Bob Bob Ricard - one word ... exceptional!

Monday 21st May 2018

The final day of CW18 has arrived - what an amazing weekend so far, ad today was no different. Another early rise to get ready for the day ahead, which was completely non stop. Again today JOICO Brand Ambassador Larisa alongside fellow JOICO Team member Daniela, wowed the crowds with the incredible skills and techniques and the finished styles on both models were incredible. This years event excelled all expectations, and has put us on such a high for next year ... we are sure it will come around just as quickly!

To top off a fabulous weekend it was time for our press dinner, introducing the UK Trade press to Larisa! Held at the amazing Cage within The Wright Brothers, the dinner was a chance for the press to get to know and interact with Larisa, and get a real feel for her as a person and her work. The conversation and drinks flowed,and the evening was very relaxed and enjoyable by all!
